Big City, Gentle Living.

A cultural lifestyle brand exploring meaning, presence, and joy in everyday life - through objects, rituals, and human experiences.

For those who care about how life feels, not just what it produces.

If you’ve been searching for a way of living beyond constant optimization, make yourself at home.

Why we exist

Modern urban life is increasingly shaped by speed, hustle, and external measures of success. Our days are efficient, connected, and productive - yet often feel internally thin.

As work is transformed by automation and AI, and long-held ideas of worth tied to output begin to loosen, a quieter question comes forward: not what we achieve, but how our days feel as we live them.

forgoodnesssake exists as a calm counterpoint - to observe, curate, and celebrate a gentler rhythm of living in the world’s cities. One that values presence, craft, human connection, and the beauty of ordinary moments.

What we do

What is forgoodnesssake?

forgoodnesssake is a cultural lifestyle brand built around the idea of Big City, Gentle Living.

We don’t instruct or optimise.
We don’t promise transformation.

Instead, we quietly explore and share ways of living that feel more grounded, intentional, and human — through thoughtfully designed objects, gentle rituals, shared experiences, and carefully considered spaces over time.

The LifeBook

Daily Ritual 001

A personal companion to help you notice the quality of your life, bring gentle structure to your days, and quietly archive the seasons you move through.

It helps you stay aware of how you are really living - your energy, balance, health, relationships, finances, and focus - without the judgement and optimization.

It gives you light, intentional planning and foundational habits so your days feel clearer, calmer, and more aligned.
And it becomes a living archive of your journey: your thoughts, memories, places, people, and the evolving story of who you are becoming.

It’s not about productivity.
It’s not about self-optimization.

It’s a space to live more consciously, and a place to return to.

What it looks like to use the LifeBook

  • Begin each day with a gentle reset
Set your intention, choose what deserves your energy, and outline your day with calm structure rather than pressure.

  • Track a small set of foundational habits
The basics that support a good life — movement, rest, focus, connection, and care - without streaks, gamification, or guilt.

  • Notice how your day actually felt, and what stayed with you
At the end of each day, reflect on your energy, mood, relationships, work, and sense of balance - and capture one small core memory that defined the day.

  • Check in weekly with your Goodness Score and other insights
A gentle reflection of your inner balance across life’s pillars, helping you understand how your week truly felt and offering cues on how you might shape the weeks ahead.

  • Quietly archive your journey
Capture thoughts, moments, people, places, memories, and even your expenses, so the LifeBook becomes a living record of the seasons of your life.

Notes on the current edition

The LifeBook Founder Edition is currently built on Notion. We chose this deliberately - it allows us to move quietly, refine the experience carefully, and stay close to the people using it.

Upon joining, you’ll receive an email with access to the LifeBook template, along with a detailed handbook that walks through the philosophy, structure, and suggested ways of living with it.

As forgoodnesssake grows, we’ll continue evolving the LifeBook with intention, guided by the people who choose to live with it.

Where we're
going with this

Over time, forgoodnesssake will extend beyond the LifeBook into a wider ecosystem of ordinary objects, slow experiences, and human spaces - each designed to support a more gentle way of living in modern cities.

We're going to organically build out, with time, a world based on our philosophy:

  • Speed is not the same as progress

  • Meaning often lives in ordinary moments

  • Speed is not the same as progress

  • A well-lived day matters

  • Objects can shape how life feels

  • Presence is a quiet skill

  • Life doesn’t need to be optimised to be meaningful

We’d love to hear from you
